So my nephew Enzo barged into my room at 11pm (yup, he has his tito ninong's bad sleeping habits too) and hands me his Power Rangers Operation Overdrive Megazord. He says something like "Tito Ninong, turn it into a truck."

So I had to turn it from this....


To this...

Yes, nahirapan si Tito Ninong.

I thought it would take me just a minute. I was wrong. My line of thinking was: "Heck, I was able to transform a Voltes 5 from 5 vehicles to one robot when I was young, this will be easy."

It took me 10 minutes. The lack of instructions really did me in.

Quite humbling.

Anyway, he was grateful yet promptly started deconstructing it the second I gave it back.

The continuing story of my sister as a Mom dealing with her son Enzo (my nephew who calls me Tito Ninong).

Tito Ninong, Fix...

So my nephew Enzo barges into my room while I was watching the WWE with his toy in hand. It was a slinky. A heart-shaped slinky all in a tangled mess. With arms outstretched he hands me his slinky and says, "Tito Ninong, fix?!"

Ganun naman papel ko sa buhay nya, e, "Tito Ninong, fix." Daddy is the "taga-assemble" ng laruan. Tito Ninong is the "taga-repair"... If it's repairable, that is. Some though, are beyond salvation.

So I proceeded to undo the tangled damage done. After a few minutes, as if on cue, he barges in again and asks, "Tito Ninong, tapos na?" I hand it over to him. "Thank you."

God only knows how long it will stay fixed.

Caged...

2 little nephews... 2 laundry baskets...
a lot of crying when realization strikes that you're caged like a little puppy with nowhere to go.

My Nephew...

My sister Tanya bought my nephew Enzo some magnetic mix-em-up animals. They're the ones separated at the belly and can be pieced together. He finished the correct sequence in no time flat. Bored, he decided to mix up the animal parts. Freaky... O_o;;
