UPcat's Back

Yup, UPcat, king of the UP Main Library Cats, is back. He left when there was a lot of noise from the renovation of the Main Lib steps. Saw him yesterday and I just had to take a pic of him again. Sabi nga ng mga guards, "Andyan na ho uli, kaso madungis sya ngayon." Yeah, and he hangs around the guard table instead of the pillar. Maybe he's sick and tired of Catalog already. :D

UPcat, the stern, masungit white cat, the king of Main Lib cats, is nowhere to be found. The guards said he probably moved on to a quieter place after all the ruckus the renovations made. I miss that cat. But now there's tacPU, the docile and friendly black cat who's hanging around the Main Lib doors. I hope she stays. And in minor news, some UPLISSA and UPBLC pics. (lmao)

The UP Diliman University Library is in need of full time/part-time Student Assistants (SA). The current rate is P30/hour. Depending on the section, the duties of the SA include, but are not limited to, the following:
    * Paging of library materials
    * Shelving
    * Shelf-reading
    * Inventory
    * Manning the control desk
    * Manning the circulation desk
    * Encoding
    * Filing
 
Privileges:
    * Free Internet Use
    * 50% discount on printouts

Requirements:
    * At least 2nd Year College
    * No 5’s or Inc. during the previous semester
    * Has at least 60 hours/month (for part-time) or 120 hours/month (for full time) library duty

Main Lib Amnesty

The University Library, in celebration of UP’s Centennial, is granting amnesty to all overdue books and unpaid fines, from 18-20 June 2008.

All unpaid fines will be written off, and all returned overdue books will not be charged fines within the period. Visit the library to clear your account and take advantage of this opportunity!
