How does the new media mediate human relationships? What are the emerging cultures in the virtual world? Can participant observation or fieldwork be done over the Internet?
This course will introduce Virtual Anthropology, an emerging field in Anthropology that deals with the culturally informed interrelationships between human beings and technologies.
